Gravel & Gold, San Francisco CA.
The lovely ladies of Gravel & Gold wanted something steel, something on wheels, something original, something sturdy enough to hold heavy coats, but light enough to throw on the roof of their car for trunk shows. Behold, the Just Fine Garment Rack. And where to put the dressing room in a 100 square foot retail space? Make your own by bending steel (hydraulic press), and make it match the clothing rack while you're at it. When the Resourceresses moved to their new shop on 21st Street, they needed more racks to wrap around a massive east-facing window. These were even more fun to make: welded up a jig, heated the steel in the forge, and bent it around the jig. Behold, the Just Fine Garment Racks, powder-coated bright yellow.
Materials: scrap steel, recycled casters
