So what can I say, I wanted to make some bronze donuts and bacon. The donuts were first made with wax, from scratch (pun), then dipped in ceramic shell, wax burned out in kiln, bronze poured. The bacon was made in my cast-iron skillet the morning of Saturday, May 31, 2008. I ate 2 pieces for breakfast and brought the other 2 into the foundry. I pressed them into clay to get the detail as a negative, then poured wax to get a positive. Dipped in ceramic shell, wax burned out, bronze poured.
Materials: bronze, 2 donuts & 2 strips of bacon (lost in the process).
