The 'Sidestep' table was custom designed for a client in Denver who wanted a table to fit with their 'L' shaped couch but didn't crowd the living room too much. Inspired by Noguchi's delicate arrangement and continuous form, we wanted to integrate the metal base and the wood top and have the metal represented on the same plane as the wood. We see the Sidestep table as minimal in structure but complex in composition. The wood is cherry, and the steel is finished with a patina that gives it hints of blue and amber.
